For you the moon is hung tonight,
bright ornament in star fed sky.
A crescent smirk whose teeth are light,
hungry smile shines glowing white.
Desirous appetites concealed
in phosphorescence are revealed.
Feasting on our flesh with zeal,
out of our love we make a meal.
We bite and lick until night yawns;
swallowed, digested by the dawn,
in soft blue light regaling on.
Morning rays having withdrawn
in the sun’s blazing afternoon,
satiated, we sleep like spoons.
